Matrix Grid Filler Options
Matrix is designed to be fitted with a filler that best matches the level of security required. Each of the Matrix fillers have unique characteristics that provide specific levels of delay and visual screening.
Positive Grounding
Due to the nature of power utility substations, typically there is a requirement for perimeter fences to be grounded. This requirement has tethered power utility companies to products that have a galvanized finish, such as chain link or expanded metal mesh fences. Although the thought that a galvanized fence should provide adequate grounding, no manufacture has provided test documentation or a design of how best to ground these fence products. Another challenge with yesterday’s fence products is the lack of aesthetic appeal. Anti-Ram Security
An expandable option for the Matrix security perimeter fence is the option to add anti-ram protection cabling. Ameristar has eight Stalwart anti-ram cable systems that can be easily integrated within the Matrix security fence perimeter. One advantage to adding the Stalwart system is that it is rated as a SAFETY Act certified product. The SAFETY Act certification was developed by the US Department of Homeland Security. It decreases the liability exposure should an aggressive attack occur on the site.
Platform Integration
With many sites located in remote areas, early detection is essential in reacting to potential threats. The Ameristar Matrix high security perimeter fence framework is a raceway for wiring, conduits & security cabling required around the perimeter of a project. This integrated design eliminates the need for costly trenching & boring becoming a value added solution for perimeter security upgrades. This is ideal with sites located in remote areas, since early detection is of utmost importance when reacting to potential threats. If the owner desires, there is an option to conceal the rail openings with a cover for additional security.
The Matrix engineered design is equipped for the external mounting of larger conduits if needed. For added protection, optional ballistic resistant plating can be added to the Matrix perimeter for protections of it’s contents. These ballistic resistant platings meet UL 752 level 3, level 6, and level 8 ratings.
